Dr. Marty Baker is the founding and lead pastor of Stevens Creek Community Church. Under his leadership the church has grown from a small group meeting in a home in 1987 to a congregation exceeding sixteen hundred in attendance. Marty has a deep appreciation for the Southern culture (reared in Abbeville, South Carolina), college athletics (especially the University of South Carolina Gamecocks), and a great passion to communicate Biblical truths in a creative way people can understand.

Marty and his wife, Patty, are graduates of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. After college, Marty completed a Masters degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and his doctorate is from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina. Marty and Patty have been blessed with three children: Stuart, Sarah and Samuel.
